In solitude,
Silence is a friend.
I kiss the soft, cracked, and weary silence.
In barren dreams, parched and empty,
I grasp the silence, shivering, reaching for the sorrow that always
Grabs the fingers of despair.
Though I keep running, keep trying,
The shadow never leaves..
Like chasing a sunset rainbow that never appears.
Why does grief feel like this?
Cold like a killing wind,
Soul shattered, dissolved,
Lost…
Always stepping into darkness,
Always sinking into the blue,
Deeper… and deeper.
Memories are gems,
Never owned by a howling soul.
If only. if… I could..
Hold her, embrace her,
Even in simplicity,
Yet eternal.
